This was a very special
year for our family. All 31 of our stockings hung on the mantle
together. Something that has never happened since the stockings
have grow to encompass so many families that make up our "Engberg"
family. Individually they hang in special places in our homes
as you can seen in the pictures surrounding the complete picture. They
hang in other homes too but I don't have pictures of them all.
While
we didn't add a specific new stocking for anyone this year
we did add the "guest" stocking (a snowman) that is hanging to the
right of center. It was made by my niece Rebecca as she
learned the art of knitting a family stocking this year. Next
year a new one will hang on the mantle. One I will proudly make for
little Cole who arrived on January 2nd just days after Christmas.
